Installation of Pietraeco stones on building cladding
Pietraeco system is a versatile and realible solution, ideal both for new buildings and for building restoration and renovations projects, especially when the aim is to improve the building’s energy class.
By installation on existing buildings it is essential to assure that the surfaces are properly prepared: walls must be solid, throughly cleaned and free of any elements that could compromise the adhesion and stability of the cladding.
Artificial stone weighs between 30 and 80 kg/sqm: so it must be installed only on substrates able to support such load with complete safety.
5 steps for installation on thermal insulation
Pietraeco artificial stone is installed in 5 steps after the application of a thermal insulation panel, securely positioned with the help of a suitable adhesive and a smoothing compound.
1) The first layer, after the thermal insulation panel, is made with ECOCOLLA, a cement-base adhesive created by Rastone.
2) Installation of ECORETE, the net by Rastone, drowned in ECOCOLLA
3) Mechanical fixing with specific plugs, chosen according to the installation surface.
4) After 5-7 days it will be possible to lay a second layer of ECOCOLLA.
5) Install Pietraeco with double spread and using specific products as ECOCOLLA and ECOSTUCCO.
